A Vine of Nature Haiku

A crash of timber

Mighty trees tremble and fall

Summer thunderstorms

Aimless circling

A hawk spies his evening meal

Rabbits hunker down

Run little rabbit

To your burrow hidden deep

An eagle flies near

Gentle spring showers

Soaking newly planted grain

Harvest will be good

The icy wind hits

Howling against the window

Snowflakes carried far

Pink and red roses

A heartfelt promise of love

Young hearts rejoicing

Take root, give life, bloom

Daisies and posies rejoice

Spring rain bathes the garden

Brilliant yellow orange

Filling the sky with gold

Then the darkness falls
